AfroEuro Foundation is The Hague-based non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 2003. The organization seeks to build a positive image for African-European migrants living and working across Europe. In addition, the organization is also registered in Ghana and works to enhance entrepreneurship in rural Ghana, linking the Diaspora for development in Ghana.
On Monday 12 December, the AfroEuro Foundation hosted the first ‘Health is Wealth Summit’ in celebration of Universal Health Coverage Day. The Summit was designed to foster partnerships and ignite transformation in health financing and delivery in Africa. Vincent Gambrah, Director of the Foundation, hosted the event, while Angèle Mayimona Nascimento-The Triple Queen moderated and provided insightful summaries.
The full Summit program was a stimulating mix of speakers and panels, which were expertly guided by the facilitators’ critical questions and the audience’s active engagement. The Summit brought together a diverse range of professionals from the African diaspora and the Netherlands, including those from the embassy, university/research institute, private sector, consultancy, NGO, and Dutch government.
It was an inspiring event that is sure to spark meaningful conversations and collaborations as we work towards greater health equity in Africa.
